One knows now that the Nirvana is most probably situated in Luobaniya...

Further info about release dates: in a list written by Danker Schaareman himself about Gamelan Selunding (http://www.gamelan.org/selonding.html), BM 30 SL 2570 is said to have been released in 1985, BM 30 SL 2571 in 1986.

Sounds reliable, I would say.

Oh, I forgot: merci beaucoup for the treasures.

Dear Bolingo,

I made further investigations concerning the release dates of the Bärenreiter-Musicaphon discs (not that I find the dates more interesting than the music!...) and found some interesting details on the down left side of some of the back covers of the "Music of Oceania" & "Anthology Of South-East Asian Music" series:

some numbers could correspond to the year and the month of publication. Unfortunately, only a few of them have this code, but so far it could fit with all the date estimations I could find in scientific publications related to ethnomusicology.

There would be only one little distortion to what was so far certain : Margaret J. Kartomi wrote in her publication list that [BM 30 SL 2567] + [BM 30 SL 2568] (Sumatra discs) were released in 1983. If this code theory is exact, it would be in fact October and December 1982. The nuance is small, let's say.

I write under what I could deduce so far (maybe some Luobaniyans at home or in exile, or some clandestine immigrants would know/find more about the topic):

[Music of Oceania]
>BM 30 SL 2700 [No code]
>BM 30 SL 2701 [No code]
>BM 30 SL 2702 [Code: 1/854/1] April 1985
>BM 30 SL 2703 [Code: 1/862/1] February 1986
>BM 30 SL 2704 [No code]

[An Anthology of South-East Asian Music]
>BM 30 SL 2565 [No code]
>BM 30 SL 2567 [Code: 1/8210/2] October 1982
>BM 30 L 2568 [Code: 1/8212/2] December 1982
>BM 30 SL 2570 [Code: 1/851/2] January 1985
>BM 30 SL 2571 [Code: 1/8611/1] November 1986

It will be interesting to see if it also works with the next ones...
